It will soon be time to Register for the above for anyone interested. A great way to raise awareness and funding for your favourite charity AND a good incentive to get out running a get a bit fitter in the New Year !

Registration will be in Jan I think - who's up for it ?

A few likely candidates put their names forward at last nights Leigh Meet :-

Astley Man
Leytherbabe
Footloose
Rambling Rose
Tom Foolery
Mrs Brightside
Ian Pendlebury

So thats a start - anyone else up for it ?

The sooner you start training the easier it is - so they say !!!!

having just started my Wii fit campaign I thought I might sign up for this despite never having run before other than to catch a bus!

However just checked the date, it's 16th May and I am away in Tuscany with Spice UK - poo!

it is, FB, but the sense of satisfaction is worth it, particularly when raising money for good causes Big Grin Plus it's a great excuse to all meet up at the Mark Addy afterwards for a pint or two (to rehydrate, of course Big Grin)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - vodka in one hand, chocolate in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, what a ride!!!'

I haven't been to the gym since the week before Christmas and haven't run for over a month. Coupled with overindulgence, I'm feeling decidely unfit ! Will start again on Monday. It's gonna hurt !!
